Handy audio app
For pretty much all of the low level grunt audio work [basic mixing, cutting pasting, converting etc] I have long used the sweet and simple Audacity. It works so well for what it does, of course anything more involved merits more involved app like soundbooth, soundtrack or even garageband depending on whats needed.
One of the things lacking in Audacity has always been the ability to batch process, a tiresome chore I had to perform on about 120 wav files that were to be embedded in a flash app. Well the tought of opening up each then setting the mp3 details and converting drove me to google and eventually to Switch which batch processed the whole lot in a couple of clicks, sweet.
Like audacity, Switch is free and therefore deserving of a look, I may only use it occasionally but on those occasions it will be saving me much labour intensive pain (or writting and applescipt to take care of the process)
